Why pay a Lawyer - Spousal Sponsorships

Have you ever noticed how certain Lawyer’s convince sponsors that there is not a chance they would be approved without their assistance?  That sponsors should never hire an Immigration Consultant because they never went to Law school. What would be the difference in submitting a spousal application prepared by an experienced Immigration Consultant or a Lawyer? Still the same circumstances and the same husband and wife.

Would the Lawyer prepare the application themselves or would they have an employee or a consultant working in their office complete the application? Would the RCIC take the time to ensure all items are included to prove a genuine marriage, so they get referred other clients in the future?

Cost is always important. Immigration Consultants are known for charging less. Lawyers’ fees sometimes are unusual. Review this Lawyers’ fees!

 ·         How many loving couples can afford $6,500.00 in Lawyers’ fees to sponsor their spouse?

·         What justification is they’re for charging each dependent an additional $500.00?

·         Is there so much additional work to include a dependent it is worth paying $500.00 for each?

If the applicant is called for a marriage interview how much preparation will an Immigration Consultant conduct to ensure the applicant understands the best way to respond to questions without appearing evasive? How many mock interviews will an Immigration Consultant put the applicant through to increase his/her chances of success prior to the marriage interview?

A Lawyer might work just as hard, but they would charge for any additional work. They will say I went to Law school so pay me more!

When an applicant gets a refusal letter Immigration Consultants, and most Lawyers respond very differently.

 ·         Immigration Consultant will recommend another experienced Consultant to appeal to the IAD.

·         Lawyer will claim he/she did nothing wrong and pay them to appeal to the IAD.

An experienced Immigration Consultant with IAD experience will rarely charge more than $5,000.00 to represent a client at the IAD. Normally there is a smaller fee incase the appellant is offered an ADR.

Certain Lawyers are known to charge between $10,000 to $15,000 to file a Spousal Appeal with no reduced fee for an alternate dispute resolution (ADR).

Almost every Lawyer likes to point out that Immigration Consultants CANNOT submit applications to the Federal court. Why any sponsor would pay a Lawyer that lost their appeal to the IAD another $9,500.00 to file in the Federal court I do not understand.
