Immigration Consultants should prepare for a busy 2021.
Just because the countries borders have been shut down for 2020 does not mean that Immigration Officers and CBSA Officers have been laid off. What have these Officers and others been doing to earn their paychecks while most businesses have forced to close?
The four divisions of the IRB are holding hearings every day of the week. The Refugee Protection Division (RPD) seems to be scheduling hearings for the most claims that can be dispensed with the quickest. The Refugee Appeal Division (RAD) is informing Counsels of negative decisions as quickly as possible. The Immigration Division (ID) are now scheduling admissibility hearings one after another and ordering clients removed daily. The Immigration Appeal Division (IAD) have a whole slate of appeal hearings from Residency Appeals, Removal Appeals to Spousal Appeals. Each of these tribunal hearings are available for RCIC’s to earn retainer agreements for represent their clients. How many millions of dollars will this increased tribunal business equate to?
Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA)has just begun calling in persons to inform them of their negative PRRA decisions or telling them they have a chance to submit a PRRA application. CBSA have already begun ordering persons to apply to renew their passports. They are asking persons to bring in tickets so they can be removed within two weeks. How mush $$$$ are available to be earned by Consultants for attending CBSA interviews, submitting PRRA’s or even advising clients of their rights?
During 2020 when most Public Colleges and Universities were closed to foreign students how many Immigration Consultants were holding their breath in the hopes, they would open in 2021? RCIC’s who are positioned overseas have the best chances to retain a slew of foreign students. Colleges and Universities are going to be far more willing to sign new retainer agreements with regulated consultants.
All those lovers already in Canada who were unable to obtain a marriage license in their lockdown zones will need the reasonable spousal sponsorship fees offered by Immigration Consultants. How many of those Overseas DIY Spousal Sponsorship applications will be refused in the first few months of 2021 that will be available to appeal to the IAD?
How many failed Asylum seekers from the RPD in 2019 are now available to submit a Humanitarian and Compassionate application based on the one-year rule? How many failed Refugee Claimants from the RAD in the last year are now available to submit a Humanitarian and Compassionate application based on the one-year rule?
How many foreigners have been waiting for some positive sign this COVID-19 pandemic is going to end have been just waiting to retain immigration consultants to assist them with their Twmporary Work Permit applications?
STOP FOCUSING ON THE CRAPPY 2020 AND START FOCUSING ON A HEALTHY AND PROSPEROUS 2021!
