COVID-19 convinced Immigration Officials Express Entry is a FAILURE!
Have you ever noticed all these Immigration Lawyers and Immigration Consultants posts about the latest Express Entry Draw only mentioning the latest acceptable CRS score and how many were given ITA’s? CRS score drops by 3 to 460 keep dreaming, this is good news, retain us.
They annouce “WOW” 3,600 were given an Invitation To Apply but fail to mention that there is still 160,000 left treading water in the Express Entry pool. That after ever draw each month several thousand are kicked out of the EE pool and approximately the same number are added to the Express Entry pool. How long can you tread water?
Just because the Federal government invites people to apply it does not mean that they will apply! Just because you invite people to your party does not mean they will all come.

Express Entry was designed to get the cream of the crop when it came to potential immigrants. IRCC wanted to attract the highest educated and most skilled new immigrants so that they would flourish and improve our economy. Trickel-down economics never worked so why did these persons in La La Land (Ottawa) think trickel-down immigration would work? How many people do you know with a Masters or a PhD have three or four kids or plan on having 3 or 4 children?

In 2019, about 82 per cent of the population growth came from the arrival of immigrants, and about 18 per cent came from new births, a number which is decreasing every year according to Statistics Canada”.
82% growth in population in 2019 based on immigrants! New Births increased the population by about 18% in 2019 but notice the article stated, new births are decreasing every year. Yet the number of persons given ITA’s every month has not increased since the introduction of the Express Entry program in 2016. Express Entry Immigrants with high education do not have large families.
EVERY MONTH IN 2020 APPROXIMATELY 3,500 ITA’s WERE ISSUED.
Then on October 30th, 2020 these Immigration Public Servants in La La Land (Ottawa) annouced that eveh though “(IRCC) continued to accept and process applications throughout the pandemic, the global travel restrictions and capacity constraints led to a shortfall in admissions over the last several months”. They had a PLAN for economic recovery from this pandemic through Immigration.

The immigration officials PLAN in November, December, and January to keep issuing ITA’s did not see any incrrease in admissions to Canada in fact they saw a decrease in applicants who had been invited to apply.
WOULD YOU PAY AT LEAST $1,050.00 TO GO TO A GALA EVENT THAT WOULD NOT ALLOW YOU TO ATTEND?
Then on February 13th, 2021 these Public Servants who live in a differnet Universe in La La Land decided to make a radical shift in immigration policy without thinking! They decided to invite 27,332 CEC Canadian Experience Class applicants with a low score of 75 and a language benchmark of 5 CLB. The Public Servants at IRCC issued 27,332 ITA’s with no increase in staff to process these potential applicants. They gave no hint that there would be a shift in policy so potential CEC applicants would be ready. They did not increase the 90 day timeline to submit all of the documents required via e-APR!
THEN THE RESPONSES TO THIS NEW POLICY GET POSTED!
On February 13th, Immigration Lawyer Ronalee Carey who posted that all “reputable Lawyers” would not tell people to set up a profile when there is no reasonable prospect that they will be selected. Her article was titled “27,332 Canadian Experience Class Applicants Just Got Invited to Apply For Permanent Residence, And I’m Not At All Happy About It” I agreed with her post because even though it was more logical to help the Canadian Tax base by inviting more CEC applicants I did feel that IRCc should of given some advance warning.
On February 14th, I posted “27,332 Invitations to Apply, LOL” I wrote “I don’t know of one honest representative that would tell a potential client to submit an Express Entry profile with a CRS score as little as 75. So why would Immigration Canada issue 27,332 (ITA’s) invitations to apply”? I calculated with spouses and some with dependent children the government would potentially receive SIXTY MILLION in processing fees. I finished by writing “WHO ARE THE SHYSTERS NOW”?
Then February 19th, another Immigration Lawyer Will Tao posted "We are hearing, anecdotally, that some advisors (both authorized and unauthorized) have in some cases in the ballpark of 200 ITAs". I just can’t accept that as being logical because I don’t believe there are that many ignorant foreign students paying for profiles to be submitted.
Opinions were changing quickly and (both authorized and unauthorized) representatives were out looking for new clients in the hope that IRCC would hold yet another ridiculous huge CEC draw.
I CAN’T HELP LAUGHING HOW THESE IMMIGRATION LAWYERS AT THE CBA ARE TAKING CREDIT FOR THIS SHIFT IN IMMIGRATION POLICY!
It is one thing to recommend the lowering of overall CRS scores and totally another to take credit for the Minister inviting 27,332 CEC applicants of which most will never have their e-APR submitted within 90 days. As if the CBA Lawyers came up with the idea to support the economy recovery of this pandemic through immigration themselves on October 30th 2020 and never took credit for it until just today.
THERE STILL ARE AS OF FEBRUARY 13TH, 2021 152,714 TREADING WATER IN THE EXPRESS ENTRY POOL!
