Working Without Authorization
If you are in Canada as a visitor or out of status there are benifits to working without authorization. Most important you can afford to eat and do not have to depend on family or friends to feed you. Earning your own money gives you some independence and allows you to establish yourself.
There are two main types of applications for landing from within Canada.
InLand Spousal Sponsorships
Humanitarian and Compassionate applications
There are several other Public Policy programs that IRCC has introduced over the years to assist those in Canada Working Without Authorization. Immigration Officials have known for years that there are plenty of Out of Status construction workers in (GTA) Greater Toronto Area. They keep reintroducing a program to assist Out of Status Construction workers in the GTA. One condition of this program is that applicants have continuously resided in Canada for at least five years on the date of their application! FIVE YEARS!
The previous Conservative Immigration Minister wanted to deal with temporary foreign workers and created a regulation that IRCC would not renew any valid (TWP) Temporary Work Permits for workers that had been in Canada longer than four years. Four Years in Canada - Four Years Out of Canada.
Construction workers with families who had their kids in school in Canada just decided to stay and work without authorization. Sometimes when immigration ministers change the regulations their actions backfire.
Establishment in Canada is a valid Humanitatian & Compassionate factor for everyone that does not fit into a current public policy. Family reunification is also an objective of the immigration act. Family does not have to be a spouse or a child it can be a parent or sibling.
If you are in Canada while out of status and working without authorization you might be able to afford to go out on a date. Meeting Mr. or Ms. Right could lead to a spousal sponsorship from within Canada. When submitting a Spousal Sponsorship from within Canada when you are Out of Status always admit that your WORKING WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION.
Showing evidence that you are helping support your sponsor instead of just using them is the right approach.
