Immigration Scams Exposed.
The easiest way to know if a company located outside or inside of Canada that is advertising to assist you with immigrating or working in another country is real or bogus is to look closely at their website. Start out by reading their About Us page.
DON”T TRUST
A website offering immigration assistance to more than one country that requires representatives to be authourized.
A website offering immigration assistance but does not list the names of the authourized representative behind the website.
A website offering immigration assistance that display lots of different immigration logos.
If any immigration company is offering services to more than one country look for proof of their authourization to charge a fee for services in those countries. Australia, New Zealand, United kingdom and Canada requires representaatives to become a member of their own approved regulatory body. You need to ask yourself how can they handle the case load for all of those different countries? How can they keep the various files separate? How many authourized representatives do they have on staff?
If you can’t find out any name of a person authourized to charge a fee for services they are crooks. Each regulatory body requires their members to list the name of the authourized person in any promotional material. If you ever do find a name conected to that company ask many questions on google before you pay anything.
Conduct your due diligence by researching what each logo they display on their website stands for. Then Google that company name with the country where they claim they are located. There is no law in Canada that requires Lawyers, Paralegals or Consultants to join other immigration organizations. Some of those organizations have low membership requirements. Do not easily accept written testimonials look for video testimonials or better yet newspaper articles about their previous achievments.
There are ten provinces in Canada along with three territories. All have their own Law Societies and different logos. If the onlyLaw Society logo shown is the (LSO) Law Society of Ontario see if they have a Canadian location. If they claim they have a (LSO) Paralegal on staff you need to know LSO Paralegals are not allowed to complete immigration applications. It is easy to check any Lawyers name if the person listed by going to that provincial Law Society website.
If the company displays a provincial Law Society logo as well the (ICCRC logo) Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council logo you need to ask your self why would a Legal Law firm do that. Why would a Regulated Consultant include a Law Societies logo on their website would they not want to imply they are just as competent?
Companies that claim they are located in Canada but only offer services to complete applications ask yourself why. Why they do not represent clients at any tribunals of the four divisions of the (IRB) Immigration and Refugee Boaard if they are a full service immigration company. Why this company would not access the $100,000,000.00 million worth of Immigration business available to them.
