What we recommend is any PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM (PNP). WHY? Because:
- PNP Processing Times average 8 months from all visa posts!
- All other Federal Economic Class Applications (Skilled Worker or Business) will take years to process.
- All visa posts request that you do not even submit the supporting documents in Federal Applications until requested years latter.
- It makes common sense to us that if you want to immigrate the process should be prompt.
- The applicant as skilled worker applicant saves months and years in getting his/her family to Canada.
- The down side to any PNP program is the skilled worker must receive an offer of employment. Getting a Canadian Visitor Visa to attend employment interviews will be very difficult for some people from certain countries. Certain occupations do not require any special authorization to hire foreign workers and for those we strongly recommend coming first as a temporary worker. Once in Canada and you prove yourself to the employer seek an offer of full time employment then apply to the province for a PNP certificate.
Here are examples of processing times for certain visa posts in the Federal Skilled Worker and PNP application streams for half of the files completed. Times are in months!
